We are very proud to have won an award as the best charity in the recent Ghana UK-Based Achievement (GUBA ) Awards held in November.
It is a wonderful endorsement of all our hard work,” said GEP chairman Rich Tribe who received the award on behalf of the charity at the Park Plaza ceremony in London. We were genuinely astonished to receive the Award, especially as we were up against stiff competition from a number of organizations run directly by Ghanaians. Even being nominated was quite an achievement, so actually winning was a real honour.”
GUBA is the brainchild of popular Ghanaian TV presenter Dentaa. It not only recognizes success in the charity sector but also in business and individuals in sport, entertainment and media with a lifetime achievement award going this year to politician Lord Paul Boateng.
